Designing cultures with intention, allowing growth to happen naturally.

Company culture is the big and invisible difference that affects how the team works, thinks, and behaves every day. When designed intentionally, it can heighten productivity and inspire fulfilment in the daily routine. Supporting company culture is difficult in an industry riddled with identical agencies and high turnover rates.

So rather than letting culture ‘just happen’, I intentionally designed company culture systems that worked for us by creating various tools.

The Paper Stone Scissors Handbook, Playbook, and onboarding system formed the base of this. What they all have in common is that they proactively nurture a culture that helps the team be more productive, collaborate more effectively, and most importantly, enjoy themselves more.

The Handbook

The Handbook captures the essence of the team, what is valued, and where everybody is heading towards in the future. It plays an instrumental role in guiding the type of mentality and behaviours desired in the team, ultimately leading to clearer expectations, closer team bonds, and better work.

It is also an essential tool in onboarding new employees by quickly getting them up to speed. It integrates them into their new work environment and ensures undesired habits from past companies isn’t carried over.

The Playbook

Employees learn, but the moment they leave the job their development goes with them. If companies want to grow, they need a system in place. The Playbook is the system I lead that addresses this issue. In short, it documents all of the best practices of the company with video tutorials and step-by-step guides.

It ensures that all work, from filling out briefs to building client relationships, meets the expected quality standards of the company.

When knowledge is actively nurtured, learning is accelerated and the company grows. With the Playbook, essential activities like onboarding and training simply become better. It teaches the new and reminds the old.
